About: Petra, the giant red mountains and extensive mausoleums are appreciated for being one of the greatest wonders worked by the Nature and the Man.
Petra is about 3-5 hours south of modern Amman, about 2 hours north of Aqaba, on the edge of the desert mountains, Wadi Araba. The highest mountains around the city is a rust-colored sandstone of the natural protection of the attacker in the city.
